Whether you’re looking for a monthly contract, SIM-only or pay-as-you-go plan, EE has a wide variety of deals for customers to choose from. Certain mobile deals also enable EE customers to enjoy an array of extras, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, as well as BT Sport Ultimate. Here, we explore some of its most popular offers so you can decide whether an EE deal is right for you.
EE has the widest 4G and 5G coverage in the UK. It means EE mobile customers enjoy reliable network connections while EE’s continuing 5G rollout means even faster speeds are on the horizon, which is good news for customers interested in gaming and streaming via their device.
New and existing customers can choose from a comprehensive range of mobile deals, such as:
Depending on the mobile phone plan you opt for, you’ll also be eligible for a number of EE Smart Benefits. This includes ad-free Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and, if you’re an avid sports fan, you can also enjoy BT Sport Ultimate. Thanks to EE’s Smart Plans, you’ll also be able to change your benefits at any time to ensure you get the most out of your deal.
Other add-ons such as the Roam Abroad programme will enable you to use your minutes, texts and data in a choice of destinations outside of the UK, while EE’s Video Data Pass means you can watch as much as you like without worrying about eating into your data allowance.
Pay-monthly mobile phone deals are available with a choice of handsets and data plans. The monthly price you pay will depend on what you choose and the allowance you get with your SIM.
New or reconditioned handsets are available and options include popular brands and models such as the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and Sony Xperia. You can also trade in your old handset and save money on your monthly deal.
When you have chosen a handset, you can opt for different data packages depending on what you need. If you’re not sure what that is, the average mobile subscriber uses 4.5GB of data per month, according to the latest research from industry regulator, Ofcom.
For low data users EE offers its Essential Plan, which is a SIM with 4GB of data. If you don’t want to worry about running out, you can also choose from its 40GB, 100GB or unlimited data plans. It’s also good to know that all pay-monthly mobile deals provide unlimited texts and unlimited minutes.
Popular deals currently available include:

---|---|---|---|
iPhone 13 Pro Max | £0 | 100GB | £77 |
iPhone 13 Pro Max | £321.99 | 100GB | £55 |

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE | £0 | 40GB | £39 |
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE | £0 | 100GB | £41 |
All the above deals are 24-month contracts. As you can see, EE deals include a comprehensive selection of the latest iPhones and handsets from Samsung’s flagship Galaxy series, as well as flexible data SIMs, although deals with unlimited data are not available. You can also upgrade your device mid-contract if you have 45 days or less remaining on your current deal. S21 FE and S22 devices are available for pre-order at the time of writing, so it won’t be long before you can switch up to one of these.
EE’s handy My EE app also gives you the freedom to manage your account and explore the latest deals, offers and rewards whenever and wherever you are. Your My EE app will also show whether or not you’re eligible for an upgrade.
Customers can sign up for the My EE app in three simple steps. If you’re a new customer, you’ll just need to create an account, confirm your email address and connect your account to the app. You’ll then be able to switch deals, and buy data at your convenience.
Customers can upgrade if they have less than 45 days left on their deal, so you can trade in your old iPhone or Samsung handset for the latest model if you want. You can find out if this applies to you by checking your My EE app, calling 150 from your EE mobile or by texting UP to the same number. You can also upgrade if you’re within the last 100 days of your contract and you want to switch to a higher plan.
If you prefer to upgrade your phone on a frequent basis, you’ll need to look for the EE Upgrade Anytime offer, which is available with selected 24-month contract phone deals. Bear in mind that, depending on where you are within your contract, you could face a considerable upgrade fee. If you’re not too concerned with whether your Galaxy is an S20 or an S21, it’s far more cost-effective to wait until your official upgrade window opens to upgrade.
EE is one of the ’big four’ phone providers in the UK that own their own network infrastructure. The others are Vodafone, O2 and Three. Of these four, EE offers the widest coverage across the country, followed by Vodafone. Depending on where you are in the UK, Three and O2 are in third and fourth place.
Other mobile providers in the UK are known as Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). In order to provide their services, they rent network space from EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three – a process known as ‘piggybacking’. With that in mind, it’s important to check which of the big four covers your area because coverage from an MVNO will only be as good as the network off which they piggyback.
As the provider with the widest UK coverage, several MVNOs use EE’s infrastructure, including:
You can get an EE SIM through the My EE app. If you want a SIM-only deal you can choose from EE’s Essential Plans or opt for deals that include extra perks such as Apple Music, Roam Abroad or Video Data Plus.
EE also offers what’s known as a triple SIM, which will fit in all devices regardless of whether it needs a standard, micro or nano SIM.
EE offers a variety of deals to suit you. Typically, EE’s pay monthly contract deals will last 24 months, however, selected packages will let you upgrade earlier than this (just check the terms and conditions as there can be high upgrade fees).
Alternatively, you can opt for an EE SIM that is available as a one-month, 12-month or 24-month plan. If you don’t use your mobile much at all, you can also choose from several pay-as-you-go deals.
Yes, EE SIM deals cost less than monthly plans that include a handset because you’re not paying for an additional device. For example, a 150GB SIM currently costs £20, whereas 100GB of data with a reconditioned iPhone 12 costs £47 each month plus a £30 upfront fee for the phone.
What length of contracts are available with an EE SIM-only deal?
EE SIM deals are available as one month, 12 month or 24 month contracts, giving you the flexibility to choose what’s right for you.
