Lebara UK plans
Lebara deals tend to be SIM-only deals, all of which offer free international minutes from the UK to 42 countries. With inclusive international minutes, you won’t be paying over the odds when you phone family and friends abroad. Most budget-friendly providers, such as giffgaff, Talkmobile, Tesco Mobile, iD Mobile and Virgin Mobile, don’t offer international minutes, so you might find Lebara is the mobile network for you if this feature is important to you.
Lebara plans also offer more perks like their flexible, commitment-free 30-day SIM. This plan works similarly to pay-as-you-go, where you only pay for the allowances you use, because you decide when to top-up your credit next.
Lebara also offers a 12-month SIM contract with 10% off the price of its one-month SIM plans. If you opt for a 12-month contract, keep in mind it’s a long-term deal that you have to see through until the end. If you want to cancel mid-contract, you’ll most likely have to pay a cancellation fee. Another upside to Lebara deals is that they don’t run credit checks, so your credit history won’t affect your ability to get a SIM or a mobile phone with the provider. The only downside to Lebara’s cheapest SIM deal is that it comes with a limit on international calls and texts, but most deals do provide unlimited calls and unlimited texts within the UK.

Inclusive international calling destinations
All the above SIM-only deals offer inclusive international minutes, with some plans offering more minutes than others. All Lebara UK plans, however, include inclusive calls to the following 42 destinations:
Roaming outside of these inclusive destinations is expensive because Lebara doesn’t offer an international roaming add-on. Instead, you’ll need to pay per call, text and MB of data you use. If you’re travelling to a non-EU country, you might want to contact Lebara before you depart to find out how much roaming there will set you back.
Pay-as-you-go SIM
Lebara Mobile doesn’t offer pay-as-you-go (PAYG) as such, as its standard 30-day plans operate in the same way as a PAYG SIM. You decide when to top-up your SIM credit next. This can be done in-store or online by following these three steps:
- Choose where to top-up. Be aware that If you top-up online, you get double data.
- Choose your plan.
- Send an SMS with the opt-in code (R1-R8) to Lebara on 38885. You can find more information about opt-in codes on the provider’s website.
